Cheap mobiles for under $200 don't have to be featureless thanks to offers from Telstra. Aside from the mobiles they offer as part of their extended contract plans, Telstra also offer cheap mobiles for immediate payment. You aren't restricted to a small range of mobile phone brands either, as Telstra provide for many different tastes with their range of cheap mobiles.
Some of the most popular mobile phones from Samsung and LG are available at a very low cost from Telstra. The Samsung A411 Next G capable phone is only $149 and includes many of the features people have come to expect from their mobiles. With Next G network capability, as well as a camera, music playback and many other handy features, the Samsung A411 is good value in the cheap mobiles range from Telstra.
The LG TU500 Next G capable mobile phone costs a bit more at $199, but for those who prefer the design aesthetic of LG cheap mobiles, it's a price not to be missed. With functionality similar to the Samsung phone, the LG TU500 is still a very good deal.
If all you want out of cheap mobiles are the bare basics with minimal excessive features, then the Samsung A401 Next G capable phone is a fantastic bargain, costing only $99 from Telstra. It doesn't support video calling, but its media playback functionality is reasonably good. In quality to price terms, you are unlikely to find a better offer for cheap mobiles.
