Find The Right Balance

Monday November 10, 2008

With 3G mobiles offering so many new communication options for cheap mobiles, it can be difficult to decide which communication types to cater to when choosing cheap mobiles. If you decide to go for cheaper plans and end up using the new mobile phone technologies, you can easily end up with a huge bill. If you choose plans that provide for things you never use, though, you may pay more each month than absolutely necessary. Take a few things into consideration when choosing plans for cheap mobiles in order to decide how much to value different types of communication.

If you have it, you will use it

One thing many people forget is that just because they don't use something now does not mean they will not use it in the future. Just as people wondered how they would use more than a gigabyte of data on a home Internet connection in the past, some people wonder how they would use that on 3G Internet plans for cheap mobiles. The same goes with people wondering why they would need the Internet at home rather than just for work. You may not see a reason to use 3G mobiles for Internet access if you do not do so now, but if you give it a try you may wonder how you ever got along without it.

Does the technology offer an advantage for the extra cost?

While emails certainly have advantages over SMS messages, do video calls have a distinct advantage over voice calls? Considering the conspicuous lack of people making video calls on cheap mobiles, it seems likely that many people find voice calls to be an interesting technology, but not all that practical. Before deciding to spend more on getting value for a particular kind of communication, find out whether anyone else has found a good use for it first.
